I did Whaley Bridge, Snake Pass, Ladybower for the first time a couple of weeks back. Absolutely loved it. No idea why I haven’t ridden it before; its fairly local to me. Definitely going that way again

Ashridge Estate and Ivinghoe Beacon for me tonight. Busy at both, but loads of bikers and Fiat owners at Ivinghoe. Happy days.

Well , today I finally finished a project. My "98" sprint executive had been bugging me. It took far Too long to respond to throttle being opened up ! Went to JCS Perth Triumph dealers and enquired about getting a new front sprocket . wanted to gear her down ! One of the salesmen said it had been geared up the last time she was in for a major ! So I went and bought a standard front sprocket ! Long story shortened , she was standard front , rear had been down sized to gear her up ! So two weeks later she now has 17f/48r std is 17f/46r , what a difference ! She picks up Instantaneously ! As soon as throttle moves she is off much happier , both of us ! Hopefully the fuel economy will return/improve.

    cheers capt

Today I replaced the original gear linkage with this little beauty. Much cleaner, and more direct gear changes.

That looks great @Vulpes , I just fitted a folding one to my old Transalp, sick of having to straighten it when I drop it off road :D

This one folds as well, actually. But it folds to the front, as it's a Yamaha lever fitted back to front...

Today I’ve adapted my street triple tail pack to fit my scrambler 1200 rack, I’ve managed it without drilling the rack by using the existing holes and slots but I had to drill the harness which the bag fastens to,

Easy to justify the need for radiator guards ..... a lad I used to work with bought a brand new Yamaha R1, but after a very few weeks had a stone go through his radiator which landed him with a bill which I believe was way north of £300:eek::scream:. He also fitted a stone guard to the new radiator!!!!!

At 92% humidity and rain, it wasn’t the best day for a TRMCC group ride, but we had a great day.
Stopped at Rangiriri to pickup Waikato members, then off to Cambridge for pizza. Lucky more than once with the radar detectors saving our bacon :p

The other week I scraped the footrest two-up on a roundabout and realised it had been absolutely ages since I'd done so. So today when I was cleaning the bike I'd thought I'd check the 'bank angle indicators' to see if they were badly worn, or if I'd just got more leisurely in my riding. Well, as you can see from the picture, I solved that misery. The other one was actually snapped off and there was a rusting stump in the footrest, guess that one broke on the roundabout. Think I'll replace them, as they're an inch long I don't want to get reminded of the limits by scraping the actual footrests.

Nice bimble down to Melton and then Market Harborough, including a cuppa and cake at Buttercups Tea rooms - very pleasant.

Noticed how getting suspension set up when on a trackday last week has improved things on the road too.
