I've just bought a R1150GS! I don't really know why except for it being cheap and I've never ridden a bike with telelever suspension.

Another couple from today. Had to do a U turn to see what this was and luckily there was a helpful board inside

Do you have your route mapped so you can share it with us or would you like to suggest any particular routes ?

It's in my satnav as waypoints, I've mostly reproduced it for here with google maps...

The route I did the past two weeks is a loop from Hulme End, I researched that on Google maps by using the 'terrain' view, which shows contour lines, giving a hint as to what roads had good views. (You can check the views and roads with Street View too.)

I started off today with a new loop from Newhaven which I planned as one that sticks to more major roads.

To get anywhere near those loops I have to first travel nearly 2 hours, so it was 6 hours in the saddle.

For the north end of the Peak district which I did a month ago: Mortimer Road is brilliant with Snake Pass.

Did a 200 miler up along the Blue Ridge Parkway between North Carolina and Tennessee yesterday. The new tires worked a treat, even through a bit of weather. A review of the tires is forthcoming as I have the time to get one more ride on them.

Cheers for that, i've bookmarked the first two routes. I know Mortimer Rd well. I go over Woodhead, over Mortimer and then turn right onto the Snake through Glossop and back home. It's one of my favourites and I sometimes pull off Mortimer and go to the School Rooms Cafe in Lower Bradfield.

Great country out that way. Thanks for the images. I do business around Alcoa, TN time to time and always wanted to bypass the planes to ride the roads. Enjoy and looking forward to the tire review.:)

And after 2.5 hours in the saddle with fuel stop by buttocks are thanking me:)
Bit weird at first and I was slipping forward in city traffic, but apart from that a huge improvement for me!!

Went to Brixham in Devon for a crab sandwich lunch on the Quay. £6.50 for the sandwich! That’s my pension gone for the week! Bloody hot today and the Rocket was chucking out some heat of its own.

As promised, Mrs Mouse got a trip to the seaside today for a swim in the sea. 100 miles (3 hours) each way on a mix of main roads and country lanes to get to the Lincolnshire coast. The ride there in the morning was perfect weather wise and there was a cool sea breeze on the beach, which made things nice. However with things heating up in the afternoon and coming inland on the way home, the heat made things a bit less than fun. Especially as I foolishly got my legs sunburned at the beach, which I didn't realise until I was stuck in rush hour traffic, at 30C, full sun, and radiator fan blowing heat from engine onto legs: it certainly stung! No bike pics this time, and nobody wants to see the beach pics  so just this homage to Reginald Perrin..,

I find them comfy but the strap on type have a weird fore and aft rolling motion under acceleration and braking. Much better incorporated in the seat.

I did a round trip of about 370 miles today. A 1,000 cc triple with 4 wheels and a co-pilot North and a 1050 with two wheels South via Royal Deeside and Glenshee.
My T100 went to a new home last week and I have a barely used 2018 TS in its place. Chalk and cheese......
