    Hi all,

New Speed Twin owner here. The welcome email encouraged to post a newbie thread so I thought, yep maybe I should.

New as a forum poster (though have dipped in to them over the years when Google searching for answers on bikes).

This is the second Triumph I've owned (the first being a Street Triple R 2010).
The Speed Twin is something of a dream bike for me although I have been and will be tweaking it over time to make it just right for me.

    Mod list so far;
    Triumph fork axel sliders
    Triumph engine casee guards
    Progressive fork springs
    Fork Preload adjusters
    Lower bar clamps/risers
    Thruxton end cans
    Dart Flyscreen
    Throttle spacers
YSS rear shocks (not yet fitted)

Bike's due in for its 500 service next week (on about 550 at the mo).
I'll fit the new shocks after that.

Any questions on the mods so far just as away.

I think that's it for now!

Excellent choice, such a beautiful machine. I absolutely love mine. Dream bike for me as well. First ride made me question if they hadn’t built it specifically for me, lol. Enjoy the ride!!

Thanks for the warm welcome all!
And the comments on the bike. Much appreciated.

While here I have a quick newbie question - I've modded the suspension as noted and thought it may be useful to breakdown the process for those considering it. The same process and improvements apply to most of the Boneville range and the Thruxton (non R).
I assume best thing to do would be start a new thread in Technical?
Or would it be better to tag onto an existing one on the subject of upgrades?
As I said I'm new to this so forgive the (potentially obvious) newbie question - just trying to make sure I adhere to the general etiquette.

    Thanks!

Great picture and very good intro. You will go down well here in the asylum as they do like black steeds. Technical is always a good start to help others. But again just tag it to your blog is equally as good and read by most.
    Regards & Ride Safe.
    Joe.

Thanks Joe. Just started up a thread in the technical section based on your advice. Hopefully it can be of use to fellow twin owners.
    Cheers!
