Hurray, @darkman! Someone who has as many helmets as I do. :joy::joy::joy: Now I don't feel so bad. ;) But since trading two of my bikes recently for one new one (with different paint, of course) I may be looking to pass a few of them along. Of course if I do that it opens up spaces for other new ones. Stuff in, stuff out....

Great poem and awesome photo, Hobnail! And these two lines ---
    "Sodden drivers on cell.
    Oblivious to creation."

----certainly nails what the roads are like these days. Well, not so "sodden" in Arizona but certainly there are a lot of drivers on cell oblivious to creation. : unamused:

It's worth checking out, SleepyOwl. It's a stunning photo. And amazing that you took it with an iPhone and just a bit of touchup. I say go for those royalties. At the very least make a poster and put it in your garage--or living room!

Been on Attack 3s for two years now. Blue the Street Triple wears them. Good in wet and dry. Turn in is crisp and never felt unsure. Starting to flatten out a bit in the middle now. I would have to calculate miles. I wanted to use same on the Bonnie, but not right sizes. I drive aggressively, when I can and I have a curve to actually drive fast on, which in Iowa is a bit few and far between. I would buy again, and probably will. RS has Avon Storm3 and it just doesn't feel as stable as the Conti.

Nice one mate, sometimes it’s just better to buy a new part if you can.
Hopefully it’ll give you more confidence in the reliability of your bike.

Woke early so out by 07:30 for a nice blast to Melton and then market Harborough.

Would have grabbed a cuppa as me favourite café is open for 'take aways', which you can drink on the benches outside, but it wasn't open yet.

Wanna get as many miles in as poss before the Dayt's first trackday on Tue.

Bike felt great - but can feel me age in me old knees ;-)

    It is a lovely road.

Nottingham to Rutland and Uppingham, then across to Market Harborough is a lovely 100 mile loop.

Plan to do that on Monday :)

And yep, much less traffic in Leicestershire - even less in Lincolnshire!

I finally made my ride up to the Blue Ridge Parkway in the Asheville North Carolina area on my Scrambler 1200XE. Perfect weather and no traffic, what a great day.
