Got the tachometer from squaredeals (good people). Several issues, stud too short, missing nut, electrical connector wrong size... all sorted. But worst of all it's not straight! Any suggestions please?

Same here. Installation was easy enough, but seems to roughly double the rev’s....

I haven't ridden it yet but it ticks over around 900rpm and seems okay when revving up. I didn't do the work myself, got a professional to do it.... more expense for a disappointing result. ☹

Oh, you mean it’s not lined up properly?
That should be easy to fix. If you don’t want to do it yourself, go back to the one who installed it I’d say.

Thanks I'll try that when he's recovered from the frustration of getting the thing on and working. Then I'll post a pic.
Did your's go on straight first time?
There doesn't appear to be any room for adjusting

Yes it did, no problems. Mine’s a 2008 Bonnie, tacho kit was for 2004(?) to 2014(?) bikes or something in that reach

You seem to have a tach that is set up for a 4 cylinder engine. ...J.D.
