    No spec savers for you Dave!! And what also I didn't mention was I also, whilst undergoing can-bus bypass tests I was working with the tank propped up...........:eek::rolleyes:o_O

    Oh dear bad fortune Tig, your not the only one if that helps. I've spent 2 days looking for a reason why a little 125cc HD pilot lamps too dim for MOT (6V battery). Some numpty (me) had wired rear light bulb in wrong way round. Of course I'd had all headlamp, ignition switch, tail light etc etc out before I spotted it. It meant of course lamp circuit was trying to run brake light filament (25W) instead of light filament. There must be a Club you automatically join when reach a certain age, well that's my excuse :(

    Anyways hope yer get fixed up with a guard ok, and good you mentioned it for others :)

    Looks like an ashtray or maybe put mayo in it and dip your chips , great mod!

    Too bloody right I am. They got cranked up today btw, it was like jazz to my ears. That's when I noticed the oops-a-daisy!

    Oops!
    I was tinkering with something on the Bonnie once and had the headlamp out but forgot to screw it back in place. Started the bike and out it popped onto the front mudguard. No damage luckily but felt rather foolish.
