    here and there
So enjoying the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside, stopped to take a call and the America is dead.

no lights, no fuel pump, dead.

    Anyone got any thoughts?

Sorry mate, only other suggestion would be wiggling the clutch and sid stand switches.

That's about my tech knowledge reached. Oh, other than main fuse or ignition switch.

    Good luck.

If it has s like my Speed Triple, if the main lights fuse blows, the starting electronics are disabled

Check the earthing connections, may be okay during running but not secure enough for the starting system

you’re correct, would still have lights with the kill switch and in this case it’s still dead.

thanks for the reality check though

I had the same thing with my 09 Speedmaster pulled out the fuses and put them back in and away I went :)
When I got home I cleaned them and sprayed them with that electrickery stuff :)

    here and there

Just home 20 minutes ago, one of the 30amp fuses had blown. No idea what caused it as no electronic upgrades/mods on the bike.

And thank you to you @Dozers Dad @dilligaf @Red Thunder @Johnjo for helping me today. I appericate it.

We are now at the part of the thread where we post puns based on fuses and electrical faults just before full digression into either cake, dog's, cats or ladies jubblies

    :)

Unless of course you are referring to causal reasoning behind said blown fuse
In which case it is me that has dropped a few volts and needs a multimeter

I think we should now talk about puppies or cake

Well I want to raise a complaint, Stevethegoolie has used up the best puns in one go, it's shocking.
