I would always have a Triumph. Britishness, or my perception there of. Contemplating a stately twin back dropped against a traditional village on the green was enough to change hearts. Imagining a time that never was, but could be... The history, the courage, the brand, for Pete's sake. Something about being the underdog in a Japanese power struggle. Not seeing yourself on the street. Different and understated. Elegant and raw. Built by Blokes Who Know How (and not Banks's). I have ridden and enjoyed others, but Triumph is my home.

    Hi Mate,
what was the main reason for your disappointment? The only really negative criticism I've read was it was top heavy.

Thought it was going to feel modern but just felt like an old bike with new paint and the fueling low down is terrible causing the throttle to feel more like a switch round town

Great comments...and, in my humble opinion, Banks's is also an excellent beer!

Yep fueling was the main reason I did not think to much to the z900. The throttle response in 1st and 2nd was aweful imo.....

Well, I'm new to Triumph, only picked up my brand new Bonnie back in March, and then the lockdown came. Having said that, I've covered 800 miles on it now and it's had its RIS done. I absolutely love it, totally different to my Superbike and love the relaxed cruising feel about it. Prior to getting the Bonnie, I did consider a Royal Enfield 650 Interceptor, but comparing them next to each other the Triumph was just better quality, fit and finish all around. So I'm very pleased with my choice and happy to be part of this community :)
