Sinds today was very sunny, went for a drive this morning, I even thought of stopping and taking a picture!
Another nice day for a ride. 79* (26C) and sunny, clear roads, took a good 160 mile road trip to the neighboring State of Massachusetts, around the Quabbin Reservoir, which provides fresh water to Boston. Would have had more pics, but the camera died (forgot to charge it, DUH!)
Yeah, I think about you guys when I post a picture, knowing you can't get out, but I think, also, that you're better off than us. Seems as though we have more than a few elected officials with their heads in the sand, and when they do come up for air, they're like fish flopping about on the deck of a trawler. But, enough of politics... Stay healthy!
Another fine day for a ride! This time into the Berkshire mountains of Massachusetts, and the sleepy little town of Shelburne Falls. As usual, it's me , my son, and granddaughter. She's getting her training on a Montessa Trails bike for now, to learn the operation of foot/hand co-ordination involved with motorcycling. Most likely in a few years, she'll inherit my T100 when my reactions become too slow to safely ride.
On the return from Shelburne Falls, we made a quick stop at Sugarloaf Overlook, to catch the view of the Connecticut River and Connecticut River Valley where it bisects Massachusetts, in Greenfield
Fabulous photos in both your posts from today's ride, @LeezRyd. Loved all of them, including the two pics of signs. Super interesting area and quite beautiful. Thanks for sharing your day out!
Had to be done. Renewed my insurance today, and Tuono in for MOT Friday. As the policy is joint with the KTM, and it was MOT'ed in December, thought I'd go out for a wee bimble in the Sun
That helmet has hidden your fine beard Ron, You looks more like a member of the village people Nice pics though Same guy different hat Sorry Ron
No dark visor for that helmet. And it is so bloody hot and sunny, it was off bike, quick snaps and back moving again. Got up to 26° today, too feckin hot for me.
2003 250 EXC Racing. Had it 5 years now, still on original KTM plastics. Great wee bike for pottering about fire roads and farm tracks. Even did some enduro stuff last year at an off-road training place. Was just as capable as a lot more modern KTM's and CRF's.
Original plastics ! ... Wow I've had an 03 250 RFS , my first Ktm of the modern era 4 strokes , think I had it in 05 . Maybe not as fast as the modern stuff but like you say still capable of showing some newer stuff how it's done. Still have an 09 400 EXC-R for trail riding ( I'm too old for racing these days) but finding time to ride it has been difficult for the last year .... Maybe this winter
Yeah mines usually just a winter bike, when the Tuono is away and more fun in the wet/mud. Keep thinking about selling it, as it doesn't get as much use I it did, but then go out on it and have a great time, so it pushed back in the garage ready for next time I fancy a play. Plus if I did sell, the missus would just want to spend it on carpets/sofa/holiday, so its staying in the garage.
