I’ve fitted a small rack to the back of the scrambler 1200 today I got it in the deal with the bike but at the time I said I’d fit it when I needed it,in the triumph fitting instructions it says to remove the rear mudguard but I did it without removing it by bending the grab rail outwards ever so slightly, the rack weighs no more than the grab rail, I’ll test it out tomorrow with a flask and sarny in the Yorkshire dales.

 Orally, for the back ache. Regular breaks prevented any numb bum. Also started out with ibuprofen with breakfast to make extra sure :). Oh for a younger, slimmer body... ;)

The Bonnie is the first chain driven bike I've had in decades. Can't say I've missed it.

Well, took Mrs Owl out for her first longer test on the Rocket and gladly she hates it ;). Was only out for two hours.
So will be getting a second bike after all.:grinning::grinning:
Her poor little bum was not happy on the back of the Rocket. Great news!

Early morning ride out via Bibury. Really odd to see it deserted as usually packed with tourists. An old lady was walking her dog and stopped by the bike, I thought she was going to have a go about hooligan bikers but instead she said it was lovely to see a british bike rather than all the foreign stuff and then reeled of a list of all the british bike makers..
Pays to ride a Triumph (even if it was probably made in Thailand....)

Friday shopping. Also stopped at Triumph to pick up a tank pad and have some free coffee and biscuits. Couldn't help but notice a new Rocket 3 GT so my wife had a sit on it - massive. Then I had my turn - physical dimensions were perfect - bugger! Went for a bike ride through the City this evening at about 2030hrs - streets deserted. Beautiful cool night and a fantastic short ride.

I wanted to change the throttle grip to one from a Speed 1050 to cure a snatchiness problem, but it wouldn't fit. I am sure I read somewhere that this was a straight swap but I suppose the cables will need replacing too then.

Got the bike out for the first time since lockdown today. Just as lockdown was relaxed I hurt my back turning the compost heap over on the allotment, then as that improved I went and hurt my ribs... Anyway now ok for riding and the sun is still out.....
Just before lockdown I had a new front tyre fitted. I'd only put 20miles on it up to now so I went for a ride around the local b and unclassified roads. I find it gives the tyres, suspension and me a good workout.
There were a lot of people out on pushbikes on the same lanes, I never knew the uk had so many cyclists... Also found out that my new polarised sunglasses don't play well with my visor creating rainbows all over the place. They work perfect for the car though, cutting out internal reflections on the windscreen. Back to my normal non sunglasses for the bike I think.
Bike (trophy 1200 2002) ran great, hard to think of a better bike for my use, but I'll keep reading just in case..... It was good to be out on it after a couple of months off. Thankfully the summer biking trousers still fitted, just....
Sorry no pictures as I didn't stop and the onboard video jumps all over the place and isn't worth watching.

Is your bike a street triple? If it is try taking the slack out of the cable as it goes a long way to reduce snatching .
