I agree that taking the piss out of stereotypes is funny. So if I were Welsh, I would mention Norfolk...
Haha! Thanks for the education, DD. According to "ancestry dot com" I'm mostly of Irish and Welsh heritage (taken with a grain of salt). But I'm quite happy just being a Texan. It's like a whole other country.
If you've ever watched "Snatch", the guy Bullet Tooth Tony drags down the street in his car by his tie is someone I can never understand. I wonder where in the UK he's supposed to be from. I've watched that movie at least 15 times and I still have no clue what he said. All I know is Tony asked him if he had been brushing his teeth with dogsh*t. LOL
Somehow I get the feeling that there aren't too many on this forum (and I include myself in that assessment) who would have any spirits around long enough for them to go off.
I'm thinking that Mr. Sandi and I probably ought to get ourselves going with Rosetta Stone or some other suitable language program before we attend GMU 2021.
Ahh, and based on the signage, the cold beer is Corona, too. So fitting--my ex has a cold heart--and he is a virus.
Once a Texan always a Texan, @JtC? Because I noticed that your personal info under your avatar indicates you (now) hail from New Mexico. I guess you can take the boy out of Texas but you can't take Texas out of the boy, eh?! And you're right, Texas is like a whole other country. I'm rather surprised, in fact, that it hasn't yet seceded.
I don't have to understand it all to see what a great bunch of folks y'all are! Hilarious and cool at the same time.
