Thanks, Trippy. My pelvis fracture has healed up nicely but unfortunately I need a second surgery on the elbow. Oh well, it will be healed up one of these days. I always so enjoy your photos. Keep digging through your supply and “feeding” us here on the forum through this!
First socially-distanced ride yesterday of about 120 miles around the lanes of N.Essex into Suffolk with a good buddy of mine. Great to be out riding where you choose in such lovely weather. Another ride planned for tomorrow with another mate. Probably head to the east coast where it will be a bit less scorching.
Gorgeous bike and photos, @Dawsy! Glad you’re able to finally get out and ride. But regarding your last question of who needs drugs, I do! I haven’t ridden a motorcycle since last January and I’ve about hit my limit on patience. Thank goodness for alcohol at least!
Nice ride around Dorset today, including a stop for ice cream at Abbotsbury. Amazing views of Chesil beach and Portland.
Bit of a blast yesterday in the south Oxfordshire dusk; before the rain sets in today... ...I love my bike...
When the (former) inlaws were still in the Lakes (Winster village) I did quite a bit of riding there. Loved it.
If you turn left at the Brown Horse towards Cartmel Fell after a few miles there's a ford on your right - we towed many an unexpecting tourist out of that! It was often deeper than anticipated...
That climb used to be known as Scotch Jean’s, supposedly the proprietor of a long gone hostelry at the foot of the hill. From the earliest days of motor transport it was not unknown for heavily laden lorries to reverse up the bottom section......reverse being a lower gear than first! I know the area well having ‘spent time there’.
Well we weren’t allowed to use bicycles or public transport so the day range on foot got well covered! Some great swimming holes in the Lune and Rawthey when no longer being fed by melt water!
