Everything was working fine, or so I thought, until yesterday when I discovered my rear light had stopped working. I checked the fuse and that was OK and I have checked the light itself and that's fine. The horn is on the same fuse and that doesn't work either. I'm a bit baffled where to start looking for the fault.
Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas?

Are you checking the correct fuse, change it anyway if you can get in clean the contacts as well definately
sounds to be the fuse more so if there on the same one.
other than that try and chase wires back and check continuity using a meter or just check for possible breaks etc

I've checked all the fuses with my multI meter all ok. Are there any relays for the rear lights and horn?

not sure Rob try chasing wires back and checking continuity when you can, someone with your actual bike will
come along and answer your questions,
PS its actually worth unseating fuses to check them rather than in situ may just have a corroded contact location
Sorry I cant be more help

Sounds like multi-meter, wiring diagram and head scratching time dude. These niff naff electrical snags are a pain in the arse. No doubt that it'll be a simple fix that takes ages to find. Best of luck

I had horn and rear light prop 4 weeks ago, only my fuse blew.
Turned out when I lock steering, horn wire over stretched, and ripped, only this happened 4 inches into loom

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think it's going to be a long weekend in the garage chasing this fault down.

As predicted I spent all day in the garage yesterday and didn't get to the bottom of the problem. I don't think I've got the necessary electrical skills to find the problem. I need an auto electrician- help!
However, the day was not wasted. While I have the bodywork off I checked the valve clearances, changed the plugs and put in a new K&N air filter.

exactly dont just check fuses got to make sure if there ok they have a definate connection, either through pressure or free of corrosion or bad seating

Found the problem at last. It was a broken wire in the ignition switch. It looked like it had been tampered with in the past because the switch was falling apart. Soldered the cable back on and all working now. But I think i'm going to have to buy a new switch but that is going to cause all sorts of problems because then the seat, filler cap and luggage will all have to be changed too unless i use 2 keys.
Never thought I would have electrical issues on a modern Triumph. My old 1970 T140V Bonneville has crap electrics but I was hoping things had moved on from that. The Jury is out!

I'm certainly going to investigate that fully before splashing out

Hello everyone here. I'm new here, and having the same problem as Rob, but on my Explorer 2014.
I can see the solution is found, but my question is, how difficult it is to change the ignition switch by your self considering that i'm 600km away from a Triumph dealer?
So, fuses are all right, everything other than horn and tail light works just fine.

Been there too but like the quieter places and had a couple of friends, Emil and Drago, who own a bar and restaurant there so was perfect for me ;);)
