    why is it all these 1100rt are in such good nick ???

    I once had a BMW R100RS. Not a lot of people know that - fortunately.
    But it was a long time ago m'lud, and I was still quite young. Not enough ground clearance on it though. Regularly scraped the paint off the main stand (on the left) and the right cylinder head through 'enthusiastic' cornering.:eek:

    Here’s mine, a proper BMW - most of the new ones look as if they’ve been in a crash.

    It’s a 1978 R100/7. The previous owner had it for 37 years. Rides like a dumper truck compared with my T595 but I love it anyway! I have removed the RS fairing since the picture was taken and I prefer it that way.

    I put a Throttle Tamer on my Monster and it did improve engine response around town.

    Just turned and bought a ‘19 reg R9T Pure.
    The cost steered me away from Speed Twin, but now wondering now (300miles later) if I did the right thing!

    I had 2 k100s last one I sold and bought the honder Deauville which I have had for 13 years it has 142000km the last bm had 240000km when I sold it I had a few bikes over the years in1970 I rode a 350 honda Alice springs to old about 2500km one other big trip Adelaide to old on a Honda 650ed twin that was about 2700km and severial other bikes I liked the k series but was getting to heavy you all have a good night
