Looks normal to me ! If that "Gunk" wasn't there I'd be more Upset my self , that would show how He never oiled the chain !!!!!
First day out of quarantine today after staring at this new beauty sitting in my back garden for a week...900 GT Pro. Rain be damned!
I'm not sure how mountains of dirty grease can be helpful for a chain, especially when there is so much that a new chain will only drag dirt in to it as soon as it's put on. Surely some kind of periodic cleanup has to be a sensible maintenance measure?
That dirty oil/grease won't really do any damage , the engine and chain will get hot and that 'gluggy' mass will become more liquid and will run/drip out of the sprocket housing. My 94 trident I did 160,000 km and many times it would drip from the sprocket cover ! Chains and sprockets wouldn't wear any faster with all that muck in there ! There is an air gap there and it doesn't make contact with anything that can be damaged !
Yep good effort @Duckadiledundee . You can iron out the minor niggles once you get the bike back on the road.
Installed smoked fly screen and SAE USB to handlebars. I just couldn't take the thought of running a cable out of the under seat box and either A) USB cable being crimped B) Cutting the box to allow the cable free access
Thanks mate. The larger of the two is a flag purchased from ebay, the seller has nothing at the moment, but it is similar to this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-...cles-Signage-Motorbike-Advert-BN/164155265695 The white banner is also from ebay, like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-...kshop-Sign-PVC-Trackside-Display/223561449814 Edit: Just realised the white one isn't in that pic , here it is...
Strange thing about the clutch. The routing seems correct. See my RS below. Perhaps the cable is kinked? Lowering the indicators will probably solve the other problem. On Speeds, the indicators are much lower, mounted on the frame near the engine. See second image. Stay with it. When frustrated... BEER. It won't solve anything, but you feel better.
fire the str up this morning at 530am and left for work 45mins earlier and took the long route to work
