Just Bought a 2010 America in blue and white and I live in Shaw near Oldham, Lancashire. Had bikes as a kid then after a thirty odd year gap bought a CBR600F in 2013 just a few weeks after an abdominal op so couldn't ride it for ten weeks (or drive). Sold that in 2014 and got a 650 Bandit then swapped the 650 for a 1250 SA in Nov 2014. Still got the Bandit but really fancied a cruiser so narrowed it down to either the America or Honda Shadow. No contest really. So here I am waiting for the current bun to show. Also looking to join rideouts and especially trips abroad.
Hi Andy. I'm new as well I joined up last week, everybody seems friendly and helpful hope you enjoy your new bike.
Welcome to the forum. I am sure you'll find the site friendly and informative. All th he best. I too have a Suzuki bike as second.
If it helps stevethegoolie my dad came from South Yorkshire and I have a sister-in-law and a nephew in East Yorks. Oh and I love Yorkshire pud.
In that case you are forgiven!! Just try not to mention the 'L' word too often!! A good pedigree is most helpful when residing over the hills on the 'dark side'!! (SWMBOs descriptive words, but she does make most excellent Yorkshire Puds!!) Oh, nearly forgot .... welcome to the madhouse!
"If it helps stevethegoolie my dad came from South Yorkshire" OH I thought he was claiming to be your son!
And WHAT's SO BAD ABOUT THE 'L' WORD!!!!. Heard it all before, it's just you Tykes are jealous of us folks who were born and bred in God's County. My folks originate from around Howarth in Bronte Country but got PROMOTED to being LANCASTRIANS while you Tykes were still paying Dane Geld and worshiping trees 'n rocks 'n stuff.
Hi Al, completely agree with that sentiment except for one teeny, tiny thing - God's country as anyone knows is YORKSHIRE. Now be'ave !!!
Oh I say, that's rich coming from someone who lives in FROGLAND, still I suppose someone has to live there and, living anywhere MUST BE BETTER than that place that sharn't be named
Funny Al, very funny !!!!!!!!!!! Or should I say Harry P ? "Voldemor....................................................................."
