Brembo Recall

From reading above it’s a USA recall.

 

Looks like my 19 street triple in on the list, so I should be getting new pads, if they don't come apart.

 

I called my local dealer in Manchester (Youles), and my 18 plate Street RS is on the list of affected bikes. They can check by the VIN number of your bike if it needs attention. I believe this affects other models as well, but not 100% sure so its well worth a phone call to see if yours is affected. They have ordered a new set of front brake pads and will let me know when they have arrived. Will be fitted FOC to me...Result!!

Started with few years back Toyota brakes?, Honda something or other, VW- emmisions and now Brembo brake pads???
All the brands we once thought were above the norm are now shiiite too?

Is there a common thread are they getting parts made in China? apart from Dodgy VW software?

These Enfield bikes are fitted with a Brembo [under licence] made brake system they too are being re-called MMmmm makes you think

Took my 20 plate stripple for it's first service at Lings in Norfolk today, Dealer said my pads were affected and were replaced during the service.

 

Thanks for the heads up, @bob1! Dang, one more thing to get fixed. Do all the machines, vehicles, and appliances know we're in the midst of a pandemic? I suspect so because I don't believe in coincidence. And now I can add my 2019 Speed Triple RS to the "fix-it" list. Fortunately this one seems relatively quick and easy (especially since the dealer will be doing the fixing) and free. Always a silver lining in there somewhere!

Yep and it all seems to lead back to a particular Country?

 

Just had an official recall letter from Triumph. Basically advising of possible fault on front pads and to get them booked in to be changed. I have already started this process.

me too for my 2017 RS street triple but not for my scrambler 1200

 

Perhaps they use different pads or materials?

I’ve just rang my dealer regarding changing the faulty pads and they said there waiting for triumph to send the new replacement pads first, then they’ll be in touch, I am guessing it’ll be the same most other places.

 

Just popped into my dealer today about something else, they asked if I could have around a bit longer and then replaced the pads under recall on my Street RS there and then.
Shame I'd only done 75 miles on the old new ones.....
