Changed coolant on 2011 today checked bleed and level all seems ok,fuel gauge reading nothing one black hose came off tank but happened before and I’ve refitted it,can’t see any wiring plug loose is there a fuse for the gauge ? ,I’ve had tank up before to fit charger lead had no issues until now thanks all.

Have you disconnected the battery while working on it? If so you have to ride the bike for a short distance before the fuel gauge comes back on line (can't remember - it might do this if you've used TuneECU also).

I've just done a valve check on mine and SWMBO's bikes, I've had them up on an Abba stand so just ran them for a while in gear to clock up some distance/speed (not sure if they need both - I ran them at 30mph for close to a mile before the gauges woke up).
The things we do in lockdown , obviously a bit risky - if that back wheel touches ground it's not going to end well - so I wouldn't recommend! :scream::)

Never disconnected battery I lifted tank up to access coolant expansion bottle,I did run bike twice up to temp and opened radiator bleed screw topped up coolant, one black hose from bottom of tank had came off but I’ve refitted it now,I can take it for run later as I’m cat 2 worker and allowed to drive for work and shopping etc,but mainly used car as road to work full of gravel and dodgy surfaces will maybe get some supplies later locally and use bike.

Ok, may be dislodged the connector or trapped the cable? Connector is the one further away from the fuel hose - black (brown is pump) , should hear a click as it fully engages. Looking at circuit diagram it's fed from ecu, no fuse involved.

Yes that’s a good pointer the connection seemed tight but I hosed that area as I overfilled expansion bottle, will detach the connector and put bit of electrical grease in there in case of water ingress then try again, looks like it doesn’t pull straight off as may have a tab that requires moving thanks again.

Well that’s it sorted took about 5 miles and now showing 4 bars on fuel gauge, thought it was odd as when nothing showing the low fuel light was not on,another thing was when ignition was switched on and clocks done their sweep the gauge showed full then empty, seen on another post something to do with the clutch switch, odd but makes sense as after coolant change it didn’t start first time,I had to turn ignition off and on then it started but faulty gauge appeared,it appears the switch does something to Ecu this appeared in a tiger with exactly same problem.
