These med countries rely heavily on the tourist industry to keep them afloat and must be under serious pressure to get tourists there,,,,,,be it safe or not

A bit of positive info from Brittany Ferries
    https://www.brittany-ferries.co.uk/information/coronavirus/ceo-message#tab-2
I suppose they may rethink and adjust the date as it gets closer. If I had something booked in May or June I'd probably cancel but I reckon that by July / August restrictions may have been lifted over there. I'm trying to stay positive but who knows what will happen, if there's a second wave I think that will be all hope gone for this year.

With my late May-June trip over to the IOM cancelled, no racing and hotels closed I’ve been able to get a full refund of my ferry costs :)

    For general info :

Hi All, the French Govt will be announcing Monday or Tuesday next week that our COVID-19 restrictions will be extended until at least 24th July 2020.

This means it will be problematic for anyone to get in and out of France until at least after that date.

As a result I will not be coming to the GMU - shit bugger bugger arse - and therefore not need my bunkhouse accommodation and deposit. So if anyone wants it they are welcome - pm me for more details.

That’s a bummer Dave it would have been good to meet up again.

    There’s always next year,,,,,,,we hope.

That’s good news, but after my experiences last year,l would advise caution,as they are slow to warn you of change.
I’m booked for the end of May to Spain but am doubtful whether it would still be possible in September.
I’m tempted to take the voucher and have another stab at next year.
Anyone else in the same boat?Or similar?

That would pose a problem for me, too. I booked the ferry from Calais.

Mind you I haven’t booked that yet. It’ll be an easy ride to Wales from Hull (if the GMU goes ahead)

Naughty, trying to imply that you would be cancelling the booking if you don't change the date and saying you'll lose the deposit as well.

Assuming that's Brittany Ferries, I'm not too worried about my June one as I have another sailing in September that I can transfer a credit to anyway, just have to keep my fingers crossed for September then.
