Ok. That has got it out there! I am not one for forums but found this one interesting for all the information on CRK kits and general modifications to the T300 range. Having owned a Mark 1 Speed Triple back in the late 90's and then succumbing to lighter models in the range I have decided that the lure of a CRK is just too much and have bought a, not too brilliant looking, Sprint Sport to convert. You will probably find me asking lots of daft questions but I will try and post things on the destruction and build that I launch on. Any ideas you may have that I may find useful please let me know. Has anyone put a flat tracker seat on a CRK and did it work/look any good? Cheers and should start annoying people soon :)

I have a few T3's - one of which, a 'standard' Trident 900, is likely to be (in the long term) a candidate for a CRK conversion, but only because it's in such poor condition to start with and was bought as a non-running, 'donor' bike.

I know that photos can 'flatter to deceive' but your Sprint looks to me to be in pretty good order and I'm surprised you don't want to just restore it to original, especially as it's a Sport model ... BUT, each to their own. If you do convert it, let me know if you want to sell the silencers, please, they look OK and would, perhaps, make good spares for my Speedy.

Oh, and welcome, by the way. And good luck with the build. :)

Hi. As you say photo's do flatter and it looks better from some angles than others, but it does have an MOT etc. I was looking for a Sprint Sport because I like the silencers also and wasn't sure if I could get them to work on a CRK or not. If i do decide to get rid of them I will let you know. They are more like the 750 Speed Triple silencers with the chromed ends rather than the 900, if that makes a difference to you?

To be honest, I wasn't aware they were different! Shows how much I know! :D So, nope, wouldn't make any difference to me, if they're sound and not rotted or rusty, they'd make good spares.

Most CRK's I've seen have had replacement silencers - the standard Triumph ones are probably a little bit more restrictive for carbs with the pod type filters - which seems to be the general direction of mods for CRKs - and freer flowing, megaphone style seem to be popular.
