Hi, yeah, meet and bimble sound good. Maybe we could have a wee Southern Scotland meet when the weather improves. There's another lad on here that is Dumfries way.

If I was flooded, you'd all be in deep doo-doo !! I am probably the highest house on the A75, but saying that the A75 was closed just 2 miles from my house. All good for me, plus I have a Land Rover, so going paddling in a few flooded roads was a good laugh, just sorry for the folks that got flooded out of their houses. :-(

OK I've tried to represent the above interested parties on a map. Some gave specific locations others just gave Counties so it's not perhaps as exact as I would like but it is starting to look like a central point might be somewhere in the Peak District National Park.

The map is just a picture, it's not dynamic but at least it's a starting point.

Peak District is fine by me.
Or Wales, or ...etc.etc. just means turning left or right off the M5/M6. :)
(Might be a bit risky getting over that central reservation thingy if it's the Peak District. ;))
In reality it'll be the scenic route to wherever over a few days for me (we avoid motorways whenever possible).
Just for the record I'm a non-camper, gave that malarkey up when the kids grew up, so hotel for me - like my home comforts after a day in the saddle. :)
Date wise I'm easy but would prefer a non-bank holiday weekend (quieter roads & easier booking accommodation).
And can't make 1st & 2nd weekends of July, we've got a week in Austria on one of those funny Adventure bike thinks with the engine falling out the sides..........
    Ooops, does that disqualify me?;)

Would love to come, Peak District sounds great.Nothing to do with the fact
that it's not far from Newcastle (Amsterdam Newcastle Ferry) or the fact that i
could nip home to Dumfries honest...;)

Excellent cav, could you please copy and paste the above list into a new post and add your own details?

We'll be the ones in the running for farthest travelled to rally ;);)

On the general subject of when - what are the general views about weeks versus mid week?

Let's just see what everyone thinks and go from there. Looks like Peak District is finding favour?

I have to say that I'm getting quite excited about this get-together.
