"I just want to spare a thought for these three individuals. True experts in their field but for the first time are having to get to grips with a virus that nobody has seen on this scale in their lifetime. They have the weight of the nation on their shoulders.

They get criticised by our media, which in turn sees them ridiculed on social media for their looks or that 'they haven't a clue what they are doing'. In every press conference they have done, they have been clear, concise and will even come back the next day and clear anything up that was misinterpreted. They can't predict the future or have a magic fix...they simply have to work and respond day to day right now.

These individuals aren't liars, cheats or people looking to further their ego. They are true professionals who want to do their best by their profession and county. They are in those positions because they are simply the best.

Steve, very very sorry to hear of your Mothers passing. It's very sad.

 

I didn't mean to be critical of you, but the Media, BBC led with the headline "WHO warn that there is no evidence …."
Most people will only read the headline.

Completely agree, these guy's are leading the way in these uncertain times....

 

I'm humbled by the messages and support from so many of my biker friends on the forum. Many of you I know in person from the many meetings we have attended and others who I have never met. You are all truely a fantastic set of people and I love you all. I think I am one of the lucky ones in as much as I got a phone call yesterday morning from the hospital consultant regarding my mums terminal condition and she offered to me the opportunity to go to the hospital for 30 minutes to say my goodbyes. I had to strip and put on hospital scrubs, gown, gloves and eye protection before going in. They allowed me 30 mins to the minute which allowed me the time to sit with my mum, this was invaluable time. They then supervised my removing of their kit and washing my hands muliple times during the process in leaving the ward. I cannot thank the nurse and staff on the ward enough for their time when preparing me for my visit and the for preping me to leave the ward. They are remarkable people who I cannot thank enough, this when I'm sure they could have been doing other important things.

 

Absolutely,and sorry for your loss.lostmy mum,6years ago,and my dad,3 years agnly seems like yesterday.Never get over the loss.Stay safe bud.

yeah, im still here. recovery taking its time and while it is still uncomfortable, certainly seem to be getting better.
