Beggars belief , Government ministers will now meet with sports top executives to maybe come up with a plan to get sport back on track in the next few weeks, match's to be played behind closed doors, what's the point for christ sake, One law for the sports premadonna's and another for the rest of us, Me feels that many more very important deep pockets are getting a little lighter, and thus provoke a change.

I wanted to have the option of two emojis for this, disagree and agree.
I totally agree about the finger pointing blame game. In this crisis they should all be pulling together to combat the common ‘enemy’ and help each other, not just try to score political points.

However, I don’t think you can ultimately blame the Government for failings in any particular NHS trust. Boris Johnson wasn’t the one conducting interviews and hiring the procurement staff or acting on their performance reviews. That’s down to the trust’s management,
If you blame the Government for their failings then why not for the failings in every public sector organisation? Surely their managers should be accountable and not just pass the buck saying the Government is at fault.

My missus is employed by the police so by your thought process if she fecks up then it's the Governments fault, also goes for any public sector worker at any level.....sweet, blameless society ;);)

I'm not here to politicise anything mate, this is way outside political parties ;);)
My point is there are people who are paid a large sum of money to ensure they procure the right stuff for their Trust and have an emergency supply or process of procurement. These people have failed in their duties, and to ignore that and just blame the politicians is both wrong and blinkered : unamused:: unamused:

    Recovery of bailout funds[edit]
    • Lloyds
The investment in Lloyds had cost £20.3bn which the British Government began to recover by selling its 43% investment in 2013. Sales continued until the final tranche of 0.5% in May 2017, the Government making a small profit on the sales,[4] realising £21.2bn.

    • RBS
An investment of £45,527m was made across three tranches in December 2008 (£14,969m), April 2009 (£5,508m) and December 2009 (£25,500m) at an average investment per share of 502p and represented an 84.4% stake in the company.[5] Since these investments, the bank has paid back the government £305m in underwriting fees, £2,504m to exit the Asset Protection Scheme, £1,280m in Contingent Capital Facility fees as well as retiring the special Dividend Access Share for £1,513m in March 2016. Therefore, the total investment net of all fees and dividends is £39,925m and represents an investment per share of 440p.

In August 2015, a first tranche of 5.4% of the total issued share capital in the company was sold to institutional investors for £2,079m or £3.30 per share. As at 31 March 2017, this takes the governments overall stake to 71.2%.

The Government has been making large provisions for losses in their public accounts.[6]

In 2018 RBS paid its first dividend since the bailout, the government picking up around £150m on its 62% holding. The government planned to sell £3bn of shares per annum until 2023.[7]

i am sure there are many other things the WHO dont have any evidence for, like evidence that people wont have immunity after recovering.

This isnt news, its the media seeking headlines and needlessly scaring people. Tell me when WHO have evidence either way, that will be news.

Heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. It is the most dreadful experience losing a parent - it felt like the end of the world for me, at the time - but time is a healer and you will, eventually, have some comfort from the memories of good and happy times.
