hi everyone, new to the forum and as yet I don't have a Triumph because I am still mulling over which one to get? Any advice would be most appreciated.
If you let people know about your style of riding and ability then that's have the battle over. Welcome to the forum
Welcome Plutonio. I would say that going by the bikes of all the most recent newcomers to our little world of Triumphs that a black one is the most popular (other colours are available).
Sorry, I should have said abit more! I have been riding for only 2 years now and currently I have a Honda NC 750 X which I used for touring about Scotland on day trips so far but I am wanting to go further a field with the Triumph. Riding style in is along the line of driving Miss Daisy and my wife often accompanies me on day trips, so I'm looking for something road orientated, comfortable, bit more poke than my NC 750X and something to fit my height of 6'3". I was thinking about the 800 XR's
A Triumph Tiger 800 would suit your requirements perfectly. More than adequate power, comfortable riding position, excellent handling, just a really good all round bike. Depends on how much you want to spend of course but if you can manage it, 2015 and onwards is a significantly better version of an already great bike.
Hi Plutonio, if you can manage it a 2015 onwards Tiger is, in my mind, the one to go for. Either an XR or ideally an XRX - be ready if you try one, you'll have to buy it they are THAT good !
Welcome in Plutonio, it's all down to how much you can get her to agree too in the end, well that's my problem. Enjoy the witty banter.
Thanks, I would be happier with better handling for sure, only been riding a couple of years so need all the help I can get
Hi and welcome, sounds like the tiger 800 road version is going to be the one to start looking at, get diwn a shop have a few rides , try out the sprint GT se while you're at it, much more roady but if your really going to get into 2 up touring it's worth considering. The tiger is a greeeeat bike tho. And often there are deals going with extras.
