Hi folks I come from the West coast of Scotland have just recently bought my first Triumph in the form of a 58 plate 1050 Tiger which I am planning to use more for touring than commuting, the bike I bought did not have factory luggage so at the moment I am looking to either fit a rear rack to take the Kappa top box I already have or source some kind of hard/soft luggage which I can use on my trips do any of the members have any advice on decent racks or systems they have previously fitted which I should have a look at.
    Thanks in advance

    Ian

    Hi Ian and welcome.
Have a look at Sprint Manufacturing www.triumphparts.gbr.cc in the section 'Triumph (all models and parts)' > Triumph hard luggage where you will find a suitable kit for your bike (I think!).
Also have a look at www.squaredeals-ltd.co.uk who also do a similar set up.
    Look at that ... a choice!!! :D:D

I must agree some pictures of the factory luggage do look to sit high but at same time its looks good colour coded to suit bike. I am quite happy to use soft luggage but due to the exhaust location standard off the shelf just doesnt do . I will post some pictures if it ever stops raining and i can get bike outside.!!!.

Don't suppose you could adapt this? It seems such a bargain it would be a shame if you couldn't!

On the add it says: "SW Motech two box Trax EVO Alubox sets with "EVO" pannier frames supplied for your model/Year Including all fitting kits & lock sets." - so maybe they could supply the correct frames for Big Hec's bike?

The general consensus on Triumph luggage is it's a reverse Tardis, big on the outside, small on the inside.
Decide if you want panniers or not,are you 2 up or solo? Now much do you need to take.
If it was me I'd have a 50lt top box and a 40lt dry bag on the seat. 90lts should be enough.
Givi,SW Motech,Kappa all do luggage for the Tiger.Mostly depends on how much you want to spend.
