ALL BIKES should come with a centre stand
Dunno if I could lift this bugger though:confused:
Wanted the bike upright so it’s easier to work on :)
Old pair of axle stands will do the job :)

Come on Dilli, should be easy enough.

I’m sure the BIG BMW’s have some sort of power assisted centre stand, I saw one in operation whilst in Peel IOM.

Now I’m sure that if Jerry can make one work then the best of British can.

    In German, a center-stand is called ‚Mittelständer‘, while a ‚Ständer‘ is also a hard-on.
So, the latter is hydraulically operated, right?
Let the Thommies take over from here, don’t you agree, Herr @littleade ? :p

    :eek:I’ve started welding
    It’s solid
Ok I know the welds look shite:poop:
But I’m happy with it so far :)
Wor lass is complaining about the cold :cold_sweat:because I’ve got the back door open for access to a plug socket and she’s at work don’t you know
Gonna attack it with my angle grinder and see how what I’ve done so far cleans up :) C08F5E28-CC99-4874-825A-0C5B252D1968.jpeg 445CC85A-DF94-45DF-AA7E-9DDCD7D3D08F.jpeg

    Only two settings mate
    High and low :)
I’ve got it on low as parts of this are a bit thin :( and I don’t want to blow holes in it
So far I’m very pleased with how it’s going :grinning:
My plug welds have worked and where I’ve removed bolts I’ve managed to fill the empty holes up without chasing a blow hole :grinning:
The welds I’ve done so far have dressed up nicely with my trusty angle grinder :p

Dilli if your concerned about blowing holes then make and break weld on the high setting.

Have another practice on high and move the torch more quickly you need the heat to penetrate through to the back

@dilligaf, Looking at your earlier tidy garage pictures it looked like your main fuse/consumer board was in the garage ? if it is its very easy to run some garage sockets direct from it, thus keeping back door shut and wife happy at the same time. :D:D:D
