Well, I bought the helmet and the comms system so I couldn't put it off any longer...After 22 years my wife got back in the saddle and I took her out for an hours jaunt and a coffee at Rykers... 5 mins down the road it starts peeing down[IMG], so much for the met office.... but give her her due she loved it and will want to do it again, hmmmm! good thing or a bad thing, I will have to wait and see!!

suppose I'll have to get her some proper gear too [IMG]

Went for a 165 mile ride into Wales and back with 6 other bikes from my local bike club. It rained most of the way but at least I now know that my Triumph Navigator suite is waterproof. It's the first time I have ridden this bike in the rain and it's now filthy dirty so that's my Monday sorted out cleaning it.

woke up to blue skies, dry roads, so decided to head down the coast for some lunch.
Strong Adolofo's, just South West of Wadebridge. Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
About 120 mile round trip, and despite the rain on the last part of the journey back, a great day out.
Nice to be out in leathers rather than full wet gear.

I've got a right knee that's trying to do football impressions - other than that it was just skin removal and blood loss.

Tall bikes and muddy courtyards just don't mix - bugger, bugger bugger :(:confused:.

    Alcohol, I need alcohol.

Ps The bike's OK apart from a small scuff.

By eck Big Lad, nowt serious I hope. Well at least it's nearly Crimbo so there's even more reason for pain reducing medicinal alcohol.

I had to search through the cupboards a bit as we haven't done the Christmas booze run yet.Came across a bottle of vodka and that seems to be helping :rolleyes:o_O

Vodka is a great liniment for rubbing swollen joints

I know your pain. what hurt the most tho?? the fall or your ego?? lol, I came off my Sprint 4 yrs ago at about 10 mph and it was my ego more than the bad leg that hurt, the bikes's scratches can be fixed easily we cannot. Hope you are ok and the vodka ( one of my tipples) takes the pain away, if not try Jim Beam Devils Cut or Wild Turkey,I am sure they will. Good job you are a big strong lad mate.

Hi Dave, at the time it was a mixture of pain and ego, now it just f***ing hurts and I can hardly walk. Just been upstairs for something and coming back down it was a little "uncomfortable".

The vodka doesn't seem to be helping. :(:(:(:(

    Thank god the bikes alright!!!
Regards the vodka: 1 part directly on knee, 2 parts indirectly through gullet!
    Hope it gets better soon!

Bad news, hopefully the recovery will swift. Damn tall bikes, they're a bit prone for that kind of stuff.
