Cheers for the reply Mr Triple, definitely not the fobs, I’ve recently replaced both as as it turned out my alarm needed replaced, but I replaced the fob batteries first. I unarmed the battery on approach, it then seemed to be unable to unlock the steering lock, and caught itself in a repetitive glitch for maybe 15 mins.
It would appear to be an issue with the steering lock. Dealer said they’ve seen the same issue on another model, I think he said a tiger. It’ll get sorted under warranty after this lockdown is over.
Glad to hear you've got a fix on the horizon John. Mine is booked in for service on Wednesday, but that will certainly be cancelled. Just as well I guess...I'd booked a Rocket 3 R as a courtesy bike, so in the long run, this protects my wallet from potential damage. Looks like rides to Sainsbury's will be the only order of the day. Stay safe out there!
Mr triple have you had you key battery replaced? Is it done by triumph as it says in the manual or u do it yourself, I had it come up on the dash yesterday and I didn’t turn it off over the winter (the key that is)
It's easy to forget and leave it switched on. I haven't had it replaced, but it's a 'one spanner' job Grab a 1.5mm hex key Remove the bolt Prise open the cover from the keyring end (it will hinge up and come off) Replace the CR2032 battery Put it back together Job done! Top tip: Always handle the new battery by its edge...do not short it out by placing your thumb and finger on the flat surfaces...it reduces its life. Is this true? Probably
Brilliant ride clean today. Go and post one picture of your Corona-Cleaning achievement here: https://www.thetriumphforum.com/threads/corona-show-and-shine-post-one-photo.23657/
That CF exhaust guard has me thinking... Bike definitely needs a cleaning; weather has been touch and go so may not be a this weekend thing but I'll share the finished product once I get around to it.
That looks right nice; was curious to find out what the exhaust note would be for the dual undertail.
Just as well you posted another - I was wondering whether your upgrade was the tank grips and pad, clutch bracket, fly screen, tank bag mount, tail tidy, rad and oil cooler guards, an unknown device on your bars (power source?), rear axle sliders, screen protector (maybe)..or that great looking exhaust Nice work! Did I miss anything?
think you’ve covered it all...triumph crash bungs? Yeah it’s a power source...ultimate addons..I use my I phone with one of there cases connected to a fork stem mount.i think there stuff great..use the phone with a Tom Tom app and for music...does the trick.. I’ll see if I can get a video on for the sound with baffles in and out...not had the baffles out yet but think it’s going to be LOUD..
I've got the same crash sliders/bungs - and I still missed them The cans really suit the matt black colour scheme - great choice...fully approved. Very interested in having a listen
I’ll get something sorted tomorrow.. Took me a while to decide on what can/cans to go for..it was hard work, couldn’t make up my mind..delighted with the outcome though
