Greetings to one and all. My name is Andy and I've just taken delivery of a 2015 Speed Triple. Its got a few add ons in the way of the Arrows exhaust, hugger, belly pan, machined brake master cylinders front and rear, and fly screen. With only 319 miles on the clock it is essentially a new bike and it looks the dogs danglies. Can't wait for some good weather to run it in and get used to it. One question, is there a colour code anywhere on the bike, I've looked under the seat as there was one there on my old Honda but can't see anything that looks like it. I want to add the seat cowl as I won't be taking anyone on the back. The eagle eyed among you will see I've removed the rear pegs already, I think it opens up the rear end nicely.
Hi Andy and welcome in. You are indeed a lucky beggar !!! The bike looks great and they go like a rocket ! Almost as a quick as a ................no I mustn't, I promised I wouldn't.....................KTM 1190............Oh bugger I've done it again. Sorry .
Have you been bitten by the Orange bug yet - one of my mates had orange watch, socks, hi vis, lid etc etc. If you cut him in half it read KTM throughout.
Ayup Andy and welcome to our hangout. White eh? makes a change from all the black ones we've been getting in here of late. But then, any shade of Triumph is a beaut and there to be enjoyed. And being white gives you a good excuse to admire it as you keep washing and polishing.
Speedies are so sexy,my dream bike but i dont think I could sit on one comfortably. Tried one at the NEC a couple of years ago and my dream was shattered. Still love em tho. Beautiful.
Welcome in Yorkie and congrats on the new ride! Regarding the paint code, if no one comes up with anything here you can take a panel down to any good auto paint shop and they can scan it and give you the code.
It's a big lump o summat with a screen, wheels ain't obvious to comment on. Was going to say Beemer but not sure now
I think Father Christmas may be coming to my rescue, in that respect. The bike is totally brilliant - the KTM orientated forums and club? Not so great
Littleade- But as Bavaria was mentioned then it can't be out else, silly me as I had Austrian on my mind.
Thanks, I was looking at one on eBay but it's gone now, this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/111832245660 doesn't specify the model year so I've asked the seller. There's only one colour white for this year isn't there?????
Yorky, wait till another white one turns up as colour matching on edge to edge never works no matter what top end vehicle colours come from. I used to paint lots in my profession and to do it right it means blending into the next panel. Its cheaper but more so less hassle to get a right one first time.
Welcome aboard and enjoy if you ring dealer give them bike details they should be able to give you paint code good luck with new toy. work hard play even harder.
Welcome aboard - Enjoy the ride......loving mine (even in the naff winter weather)! Just more hassle to keep in a decent level of cleanliness :0(
