Not what I was drinking tonight (that was a Bullet Rye Manhattan for "home happy hour" followed later at dinner with a glass of Mondavi Bourbon-barrel aged red) but I saw this somewhere today and loved the quote!

Mr. Sandi bought this at Sam's Club a couple of days ago for $27 a bottle. Had some last night and it was delicious!

My local Morrisons mightn't have any bog rolls but they do have Jameson Caskmate Stout Edition and the IPA edition on at £20

Mr. Sandi purchased the Jameson Black Barrel to add to the half dozen or so whiskey/scotch offerings at a recent dinner he hosted with a bunch of guy friends, DD. (I was off at movie club drinking wine...unfortunately.) Fortunately for me, they didn't drink all the Jameson Black Barrel. So I didn't make the big(est) dent in that bottle in my photo. But I quite like it and hope you do, too.:) You do, however, seem to have a more discerning palette than I so let me know your opinion. Note that I did phrase that as "discerning palette" which does not necessarily equate with having better taste. ;) :joy:

I had one of these while waiting for Mr. Sandi to bring home takeout from P.F. Chang's. Nearly all the main restaurants in Tucson are "reinventing" themselves to some degree and offering curbside pickup and delivery because of the mayoral proclamation on Monday that closed all bars, restaurants, and coffeehouses. Most are offering some good discounts as well. Our pantry is well-stocked with staples more fit for a camping trip (also thanks to Mr. Sandi). So we can intersperse canned chili or boxed red beans and rice with some civilized takeout menus. Fortunately our liquor cabinet is well-stocked too! ;):)

Mr. Sandi is doing his part to save Corona beer from extinction. He came home today with a six-pack of Corona and a side of Dos Equis XX for good measure. He had one with dinner this evening and referred to it as his "Corona vaccine". I played it safe and stuck with a Hendrick's Orbium Gibson. BTW, my IPA's are hiding behind all that Mexican beer. ;) And I mentioned in a previous post on this thread that our liquor cabinet is well-stocked during these COVID-19 days. As you can see, so too is our fridge. :yum:)

Fat Tire - New Belgium Beer Co? Just bought by the guys who own Kirin. Nice.

Hendricks - distilled in Ayrshire, Scotland. Nice.

    Corona? Less certain about that!!

Well, @Beerman, I played it safe and drank the Hendrick's and while Mr. Sandi chose the Corona. Plus the Hendrick's has a higher alcohol content which may (not condoned by our U.S. FDA I'm sure) kill off any stray "bugs". :joy: I figure it can't hurt! ;)
