We used to joke about giving undesired things a NATO part number - then nobody would get it.

seeing as the pubs are closed, I'm sure you are all dying to do some cross-stich in the evening? so here's how to make your own facemasks, can someone make me a ghostrider one?
    ta :)

To overcome the shortage of medical face masks, the University Hospital of Grenoble (France) revisited the idea of the face mask published on carftpassion.com in order to create a prototype usable for all non-medical staff. The end goal of this measure is to keep the stock of medical face mask for the Health Care System as we face the Covid-19 crisis. Let’s all use it to protect ourselves and others (#Solidarity #Eco-friendly #Health&Safety).

This was taken about 10 minutes after I’d arrived and got myself a brew. There were twice as many when I turned up but half of them left when I turned up :joy:

Had a few deaths here in Reading and down the road in Slough.

Getting fed up with this, not the virus so much, rather the selfishness of people

First it was the selfish twats panic buying causing problems with getting food supplies.
Now it's selfish prats gathering in groups, like this, that will probably cause us to end up with French/Italian style restrictions on journeys.

Just north of Lancaster on the A683, just outside the village of Caton. It’s called the Bull Beck picnic site.

This happened LAST NIGHT in the French Parliament; translation not perfect but who is :

Coronavirus : l’Assemblée nationale donne son feu vert au projet de loi d’urgence sanitaire

The vote took place in the night from Saturday to Sunday on this text which allows to restrict public freedoms for two months. Discussions are to resume in the Senate during the day.

By Le Parisien (big national newspaper) with AFP.

    March 22, 2020 at 07:47.

It was a vote that took place in the middle of the night, in the middle of a confined France, between Saturday and Sunday.

The National Assembly voted for a bill allowing the establishment of a two-month state of health emergency in the face of the coronavirus epidemic.

This text makes it possible to restrict public freedoms (confinement, requisitions) for two months. It also authorizes the government to take by ordinances a series of measures to support businesses and acts the postponement of the second round of municipal elections.

Up to six months in prison and a fine of 3,700 euros

In its version modified by the Assembly, the bill also plans to toughen the sanctions for French people who do not respect confinement with a fine of 135 euros in case of violation of the rules, 1500 euros in case of recidivism "in 15 days" and in the case of "four violations within thirty days" an offense punished with a fine of 3700 euros and a maximum of six months in prison ".
