Well, if you insist....in a nutshell, I set off for the Post Office and going down a steep hill through an housing estate I remembered I was so excited to get on the bike I didn’t pick up the stuff for posting, so, instead of going round the block I quickly braked and left turned into a (Too!) narrow side street intending a u turn (Sure I told someone I was doing a 360) but soon realised it was tight and I was going too slowly.
Now the excuse... having two knackered knees and one knackered hip, combined with the worn out lower back, I couldn’t shift my weight over to the outside in time to counter balance the bike, so we fell over.
Own fault entirely, should never have attempted to turn where I did.
I lay on my back and wondered whether to get up or just have a nap while was lying down.
The bike was lying on its side with the seat/tank facing down hill and if a nice man with a van hadn’t stopped and helped me, I don’t know whether I would have righted the bike on my own.
Slight scrape on left rocker cover and very slight mark on muffler.
I felt a right ball and bat though!
Must find somewhere quiet and practise U turns.
Has anybody else fallen over, or is it just me? :).
    Ken.

Yep all been there, if somebody says that they have never dropped a bike I would be very suspicious

Dilli - great report, thanks; I'm envious - what is Cerberus like to shove around in the garage, and when it's all a bit slow?

Once while trying to bump start my T150 Trident in a pub carpark from the wrong side, it stopped dead. I lost balance and tried to lay it down gently while holding one side of the bars. Just as it softly touched the ground gravity took over pulling me right over the side of the bike and onto my arse. At least it gave the 20 or so people in the carpark a laugh, and I couldn't keep a straight face even though it was probably quite red

Slow riding is a doddle mate :)
Triumph have got the balance on this bike spot on
I have a slight incline and bit of a concrete ramp into my garage :(
So I ride the bike in but when coming out backwards I just push it :)
I could push my Speedmaster in but don’t think I would like to push this thing in :(
On level ground like car parks etc it is relatively easy but at the end of the day it’s still a heavy bike and I’ll be weary of which way I’ll park it so as not to have to move it backwards to get out

Thanks Dilli - I had a chat with a bloke who was taking one for a test ride - my word, that bike looks fabulous.

He said that the balancing was better than the Speedmaster…

    ...and with shaft drive. Hmmmm…

Thanks Dilli - it's great that you love it, and I completely get it. I love it too.

But I am not going to buy it - not yet, anyway.

I went out on the Speedmaster today: the engine is fantastic, the weight is good, I love it too. For me, It's the antidote to a lot of the crap going on around us! I polished it today - all the nooks and crannies, it looks beautiful.

I am lucky in that I can afford the Rocket -or, until COVID-19 ate a chunk of my savings, I used to be able to afford it - but I will enjoy the Speedmaster for a good while yet.

I have only one gripe about the Speedmaster - some bolts and fastenings are very prone to rust, despite my ministrations. My last bike, a Guzzi, never had that problem; I don't think it's acceptable on what is an expensive bike ( though not in the Rocket league).

Enjoy the ride, rubber side down. I hope I see you riding it!
