I signed the dotted line on the 18th January...handed my Hog over 2 days later. Ny Speedmaster was supposed to be here on the 1st of March.
My dealer says he can't tell me when it will arrive as the new and expensive Triumph computer system doesn't work. All he can tell me is that its due.
I am starting to get a bit fed up now...if I had ordered a fridge I would be able to track its journey.
    Is this normal for Triumph?

Don't want to be a doom merchant, but I think your dealer is taking the piss. A phone call to the factory would provide an update who should be able to provide an idea on when your bike will arrive. Who is your dealer?

Hi Wessa, 3 cross motors in Dorset. To be fair he did say it would come on the 1st..I have phoned and asked a couple of times now for a date. The last call was on Saturday and I told him that if this dragged on much longer than 2 weeks over due date I would start to get pissed off. How long does it take to ship a bike from Thailand?

To be honest I have had a few new bikes from triumph and none of them have been delivered on the original date that the dealer provided. If your local to the dealer I would go in and sit on his desk while he rings the factory and then get pissed off with him.

Maybe they could check using the good old fashioned way & pick up the phone to chase delivery dates down!

I really can't believe that a company the size of Triumph have systems issues that run into days, christ when our system fails for an hour if feels like the apocalypse!

Thanks, at the moment its only 4 days overdue so I will leave it until after the weekend. Then I plan to ask them to phone Triumph or something and find out where it is.

Ok, spoke to one of the sales chaps (not mine he was busy) at the dealers today. Just to recap this is an enquiry into a newly ordered (7weeks ago) Speedmaster. He looked up the order and said that the order number had 'GB' after it. He said that was more promising than no GB after the order number but didn't really explain what it did mean and well, I didn't really ask what it meant!
He said that the VIN was not available yet which is a shame because an available VIN number means its ready to be sent out.
Anyone know what the GB means after the order number?
Obvious answer is it means its going to the UK ..but just wondering if anyone has had this experience and knows if this means my bike is immenant ?

By the way, this was on the phone, I phoned my salesperson at 1.30pm and asked them to phone me back which he didnt. In the end I phoned back at 5.25 and spoke to another salesman who told me that they had had the busiest day for a long time.
Too busy trying to sell more bikes rather than letting prior customers know where the hell their bikes are!
