Hi guys, I know a lot of people think the MCN show is overpriced and a bit crap, but I've volunteered my services on my Women's MCC stall on Saturday so I'll probably have a mooch about too and sit on some nice bikes. Anyone else going?
It's my bike club stand. Evolution Women's MCC. They needed volunteers to man the stand and speak to folk.
Will do! Hopefully meeting up with a couple of pals there too so that'll be good. I was planning on taking the bike, but the forecast is pissing down! I'll take either rain or cold, but not both!
This year will be the first year in over 20 that I will not be going, personally I just feel its not half the show it used to be, hope you have a great time there though, enjoy!
I remember going when I was a bit younger and seeing the Purple Helmets (I was about 10 - had no idea why they were called that then!) - It's more about selling stuff now, unfortunately. But it'll be good to see if we can coax some more women into the club!
Ahhh the purple helmets, they were absolutely brilliant and hilarious !!! never hear of them now sadly!!! Anyway hope all goes well and you get plenty new recruits for your club, cheers
