Well it's a kinda road one, me little legs wouldn't manage the xc, and there I was thinking I was kinda average, kinda!
Now I'd like a report on that one! I'm definitely considering a '12 Tiger 800 ABS as a second bike. I rode it about a week ago, and have been drooling since. Gotta sell a car to do it though.
New rear renthal sprocket arrived in post woohoo, nothing wrong with the old one it's just i like the look of the renthal one
Less than 700 miles covered and today at the end of my journey home founds this: Thought it was starting to feel a bit funny! Now to replace with the same again, or get a longer lasting more touring orientated tyre (Road Pilot, Angel etc)? Trouble is really should replace both together if changing brand....... Would however then be REALLY furious if I did that and got another puncture! To work out which is the lesser evil! Or just get a 'better' rear and live with it for a while!?! "GGGGGGRRRRRR!!!!!"
Not too sure if I really fancy plugging it....... Although I'd need to to get it anywhere for a tyre anyway!
went down to my Dad's on the tiger today. 140 miles no low fuel light! mmmm!! Tall screen: no buffeting Mmmmm! Gel seat: no sore arse MMMMM! Luggage: No rucksack, no sore shoulders!! Mmmmmm! Upright riding position: No sore wrists no numb hands! no sore neck! Mmmmmm! Hand guards and heated grips! Mmmmmm! Decent Headlight I can now see in the dark! Mmmmm! Guess I enjoyed it then! PS: Don't tell Doris!
So, treading the same path again, I took Bonnie up the A6 and over to #1 Daughter's in Rushden. Inlet valve in toilet cistern bust and needed fixing. As the old saying goes, 'If at first you don't succeed, call Dad'. Then down the A6 and shot over to my mate's in Westoning for a quick tinnie of mood enhancer and t have a moan about the uninspiring rubbish football LVG's 'philosophy' is imposing on our favourite footie team. A tad drizzly but quite mild so nice to get some fresh air.
Hi got dirty with bike today cleaned and waxed chain, cleaned out drive sprocket housing caked in grit grease adjusted chain all nice and clean now.
Wind was pretty fierce here on Weds night, and came home to find my new pride & joy on its side...... took a little of the shine off things to say the least. Broken number plate hanger, mirror & clutch lever. So, Thursday am called Bridge in Exeter. Friday 9:45 all delivered. Great service. All fitted & off out to run a few errands, and then for a short spin. All ok, and back in love again!
