I'm not sure - its a factory paint job - but I always assumed it was a metallic paint. Very metallic. Its a definite orange, by the way, although in photos the colour can be a bit deceptive.
Been out today on Trixie for a 120 kms brisk bimble. While out picked up a new Chromebook for Mrs Biglad. Virtual brownie points awarded - but that was 2 hours ago ???????
I think you've got THAT right mate !!!! It was so nice to be out on the bike again today, feels like it's been ages since the last ride?
@thebiglad Oh I’m jealous, weather has just been so crap ‘ere. On another matter, you can have a play on the F8 to compare as yours is similar so long.......................... as you DONT ride the ‘French’ way heh heh heh!!
I have NO idea what you mean Eric..................................... Looking forward to seeing you in July. I decided to make it a 3 week tour of the UK to see friends and family and doing a bit of touristy stuff. Definitely need a night out in Leeds and a curry in Bradford. Dave
Well it's lucky I didn't see this, otherwise you would have been receiving my sound advice , but you made your decision without any help from me so I will keep my opinion to myself
Well, good for you, DD, for looking at lots of information and data and thinking it through. But then going with your heart--and the seat of your pants! I think lots of vehicle decisions, be they motorcycle or car--come down to gut and heart.
If it don't feel right don't do it has always been good advice, anyway more money to spend on bikes and aircraft parts
Totally get where you are coming from on this DD, I felt the same when I rode a mates BMW S1000R, very fast, very capable, did everything well ... too refined, didn't like it , told my mate my feelings & described it as a bit 'beige' He had the arse at the time, but only kept it another couple of months before buying an Aprilia RSV4 Tuono which he said has more soul!
https://www.forces.net/news/ill-have-it-could-johnny-vegas-be-next-owner-raf-marhams-gate-guardian You could outbid Johnny for this mate got speed but shit fuel consumption
Today the old Honda CB700 after 10 years of ownership has gone to a new owner down sarf. Time to start thinking about taking the dust sheets off another classic bike and get it on the road
Thanks mate The old girl looked better in the pictures than real life cos she got used but never let me down.
Don’t know mate,,,oops that should be Don’t know my ’bestist’ mate I may start a Dilli type of thread,,,,,what’s Tiglets next classic on the road. Think it’s about time you got that old Thunderbird on the road
