Welcome, glad to hear you are over your illness that kept you of your bike. When I looked last week there were circa 85 speed twins for sale on Autotrader for bikes, be worth having a look on there mate..

 

Su n me sold our speed n street triples and have a pair of speed twins, great fun bike but as a minimum you need to get some quality rear shocks on them.

 

Glad you are well and getting back to the biking. It might be a bit os a distance, but Total Triumph in Taunton have a new red one in the showroom, if of interest. I have the silver/grey ST and came from Speed Triple R and have loved every minute of it. happy hunting and hope to see some pictures of the bike you get.

Great news on the bike totally agree on the Ohlins but others are just as good for less money, my intention was to do both front n rear suspension after my initial rides on the bike but after fitting the rear shocks that have rebound adjustment as well this made a huge difference in controlling the poor pitching control of the orig rear shocks, moving the rear wheel forwards 5mm with a 1 tooth larger front sprocket and fitting lower risers and dropping the legs through the yokes a tad i now have a bike i'm happy with for very little outlay

Can I ask how much you dropped the front end please? I’m looking to quicken up the steering a tad. Also do you happen to know the torque settings for the fork clamps? Thanks
