Not really give the whole subject a lot of thought. I don't buy newspapers, so have not been subjected to the shite the press have been having a field day with. If they want to go I say let them. I love the queen and what she brings to our country, it is a pity that she cannot rule us for ever....
I do respect our Queen. She brings so much wealth to our country. Megan it's all a big game to her. I just wonder how long it will be before she divorces Harry and goes of with her goodies. She has really feathered her nest made for life. I loved the Queen Mother. When we were over Windsor castle on guard she would come around Christmas and new year with a Butler to say happy Christmas to every guard and offered us a sherry. The rest were parasites. You would see them there hiding in the bushes or behind walls just to see if one of the guards might have a smoke or sit down so they could report them. Regards Joe.

As a point of note, Wade put all his eggs in the north east basket, and got embarrassed by the Jacobite arse punching the the north west got... he was relieved of command.

On a more serious note we tend too readily to forget this was the same period Dick Turpin was active. UK roads were horrendous and remained so well into the 19C. Check out ‘turnpike trusts’ and the eventual transfer to local authority responsibility in 1888. It remains contentious but much of the Irish famine effect was down to distribution almost as much as actual shortage of food. Wheat in Dublin was effectively on another planet from the wilds of Galway and Mayo. The story is slightly more complicated than popular history tells it......the same famines hit across Europe in the 1840s with varying severity mitigated by infrastructure like roads and canals.

I have to agree with Old Hoss chops Princess Anne, this should have been the National Anthem, It will be played out loud in our abode on 31st of Jan as we leave Europe if only to piss off my relatives and the mother in law who is Italian.
