Went to see the new Star Wars film tonight.
I’ve always been a fan of the Star Wars movies but I really did think this one was a bit .... meh! : unamused:

I LOVED the bar scene in the original Star Wars. Classic!

Ahhh, Charlie Hunnam. Reason enough for me to watch this film no matter how good (or bad) it is or even what the plot it! ;)

Was out at the pics last night to see "Knives out" with Daniel Craig and an amazing cast. Very good film with a plot that had more turns in it than an engine bolt.

Mr. Sandi and I finished watching Season 3 of "Goliath" last night. We both thoroughly enjoyed it though it might not be to everyone's taste. ;) Billy Bob Thornton is terrific as Billy McBride. And Amy Brenneman, Dennis Quaid, and William Hurt were so good at being sooooo bad. :imp: I did a wee bit of research and it appears that there will be one final season of Goliath which makes me very happy! :grinning:

If you want a laugh, see his attempt at a Cockney accent in Green Street - it's very funny.

"Ghost In The Shell" with Scarlett Johansson ( @Ron Ashurst ) .

Very offbeat, transcription of a Japanese manga science fiction/fantasy story. Ron will think it's worth watching for the glimpses of SJ in a flesh coloured skin suit - as did I.

Not the greatest of films, and definitely not one to watch if you can't suspend your disbelief, but entertaining enough when there's sod all else on the box and - bottom line (pun very much intended!) - it contains a lot of scenes of Scarlett in violent action and tight clothing, and there are some very well done digital effects. OK, OK, I'm shallow and sexist - but it IS Scarlett Johansson and she is fit with a capital 'F'!

Isn't it a pity we can't "rate" sections or sentences in an original post?

Thanks, @Vulpes. Mr. Sandi and I have been looking for a new series since finishing Season 3 of Goliath. This looks like a good series. I love mysteries/thrillers!

Hi I agree with dcs222 , went and watched 1917 very realistic , and much more believable than some War movies , little actual gore but but the action scenes are very reasonable and realistic .
Some great actors old and new !!

It was Le Mans ‘66 for us last night. In a local cinema with an amazing sound system. Very enjoyable film and the V8’s sounded fantastic with clever sound edit whereby the sound went from one side of the cinema to the other , just like the car had passed you . Christian Bale’s Northern English accent is a bit weird but he’ll probably win something for it . Sounded a bit like Guy Martin with constipation....!

I watched King Arthur: Legend of the Sword last night!

I actually quite enjoyed it, more than I expected to anyway! Very Guy Richie! Worth a punt :)
