I've been across the border in Nogales scores of times, Don, mostly to go scuba diving in San Carlos. But I've not been across the border in probably four or five years now. Certainly not since they put up the feckin' razor wire on the border wall. :( This photo was taken just over a year ago in Feb. 2019 when we had some East Coast guests in town who wanted to drive to the border. There are two crossings--one in town and the truck crossing at the edge of the two Nogales' (there a Nogales US and a Nogales MX). This is the one in town.

Put in your height and weight to find out which Olympic athlete you most closely resemble.
Obviously we have to lie about our ages.
    Remember and post the results.:):):):)
I have a feeling we will end up heavily biased towards, Hammer Throwers.

Hmmm, DD, I just took a very close look at this recipe and...what in the heck are dried marrowfat peas??! It's telling that the recipe says they are "available in all British supermarkets". Not US supermarkets. Not Australian supermarkets. Not Canadian supermarkets. Coincidence? Probably not. ;)

And what makes marrowfat peas different from regular peas? Or non-marrowfat peas?

That all said, this mush peas recipe sounds strangely delicious to me.

All right, DCS, I'm in! Mr. Sandi and I would love for you to tour us around on the motorcycles from restaurant to restaurant (and pub to pub?) to give all these delicacies a try when we visit the UK in a year or two. :) Some of the dishes sound better than others but I'm willing to give them all a go! :yum Plus from what I've heard and read, Cumbria is an absolutely beautiful area.

Duck, mushy peas were sounding pretty yummy until you talked about topping them with vinegar or gravy (particularly a "slop" of gravy)! :( :p

Well, I can eat Sonoran hot dogs and nachos and guzzle beer with the best of 'em, too, Duck. ;)

"Real" Sonoran hot dogs should also have pinto beans on them. :yum
