Hardly using it Graham. Well or the VStrom cos it’s winter. To be honest I only need the one bike now and that’s the Suzuki. Since getting the Speedmaster I think I’ve barely put a couple of hundred kilometers on it. I should sell it really as it’s just an expensive ornament.

I thought kick/ side stands would have been on the opposite side to UK ones, for bikes that ride on the right?

Waspy is a keeper. Can never sell him. He took me all the way to the Nordkapp and back. He’s fantastic. Now the Speedmaster, is another story. ;)

    BonnieCat,
Why do you like the Suzy more than the Triumph, is it the weight?
    Regards,Ken.
4 Funnies....it was a serious observation as you will be stepping off into the traffic /highway and not onto the sidewalk/ pavement like we can. Unless you highside yourself. ;).

Ken, a few reasons. Firstly the VStrom is a do anything bike. I went to the Nordkapp, a round trip of 8000km. Never missed a beat, just had to adjust the chain once. The fueling is perfect, the suspension comfortable, engines are virtually unburstable. Slight negatives, it’s a wee bit tall for me, but with the low seat it’s doable. I like the fact you can chug around on it and it doesn’t jerk like a mad thing.
The Speedmaster is the second Bonneville I’ve owned and whilst the Bike is better than the T120 I had before, it still has poor fueling. I know there’s things you can buy to improve the fueling but I really object to spending money to make the bike pleasant to ride. It should be like that out of the factory. The Speedmaster is beautiful to look at (I have the red one) but it’s never going to be the bike I would take on holiday. The jerky fueling really spoils it and becomes extremely annoying after a few kilometers. This is my fourth Triumph and will be my last (sorry Dilli). The best one I had was the Street Triple, one of the first ones. Awesome bike and engine but I was always thrashing it around and feared I’d lose my license. The weight of the Speedmaster is not really an issue since it’s got low center of gravity.
I use my Yamaha Neos 50 moped scooter more than the Speedmaster, so that’s why I’m thinking of getting rid later this year.

@BonnieCat, have you looked at the new(er) Speedmasters and Street Triples? I went to a Triumph "Back in Black "event last year and my favorite bike among the ones featured was the updated Speedmaster model. I'm also keen on the new Street Triples too. What year was your Street Triple and what year is your Speedmaster?

    BonnieCat,
    Thanks for that informative reply.
Sounds very similar to how my Ducati Monster used to ride when in traffic. I used to wonder who was in control at times!
    Cheers, Ken.

Sandi, the Speedmaster is a 2018 model, so I think it’s the latest bike, and the Street Triple I had was a 2007 model in black with round headlights.
Definitely don’t want another sports bike for the same reason I sold the Street in the first place. Besides the latest Streets are not as comfortable as the originals. I test rode the super fast one with the TFT screen. Not for me!!
I’d like to sell the Speedmaster, but not replace it.

I know exactly, how you feel... Sometimes the company that we love just does not build the bike, that we need...
And you found your perfect fit with Suzuki. And that‘s just great.
I also went to my Triumph dealer to check the Rocket out, and it is a gorgeous bike. But I would not want to trade my Fat Bob in after spending so much money on upgrades and stuff... You never get that back.
And I love the bike anyway, just as you love yours.
So let us all look forward to the next riding season... (gosh is it wet and cold over here right now... :confounded:)

    Cheers!
