IMG_0223.JPG IMG_0224.JPG IMG_0225.JPG IMG_0226.JPG IMG_0227.JPG Managed to get a day pass from the asylum last Saturday, so had a day immersed in all things motorcycling. Trip up to the National Motorcycle Museum on the Tiger 800. Brilliant day of not thinking about elections or the bloody B word. Felt great for about 48 hours afterwards.

I never thought I'd want to eat a motorbike - but the top one is a full-size 1928 AJS... made from chocolate. Very tempted to drop something and while picking it up, have a sly lick of the front wheel.

The Norton Nemesis prototype - 1500cc V8, 235bhp and estimated top speed of well over 200mph. I don't think it got beyond prototype.

The highly drilled Ariel Arrow completed a flying kilometre at 122.45mph in 1966. I had an Ariel Leader in 1971 (less sporty sister to the Arrow), and the only way it would do 122mph is chucked off the top floor of a 10-story building.

It was indeed. 808 bikes set off, £5712 raised for the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
Nobody ran out of fuel this year, but we did have 2 breakdowns - both I am reluctant to admit on here - were Triumphs! A speed trip with a broken clutch cable and a Bonnie with a broken throttle cable.

Very well done. Pity there’s nothing like that up this way, I did the Newark one last year and that was well attended. The nearest one was the Brass Monkey that @Smilinjack mentioned.

Camping in Cloonlara, Co Longford, Ireland last weekend. Weather was pretty bad getting there but rewarded with an evening sky.
