Bonnie Servicing

    Hi all
    I love to do as much maintenance/servicing on my bikes as possible
    Are there things that maybe too difficult or tough to handle for a home mechanic ?

    My Bonneville is 2011 vintage

    Sorry couldn't resist it!!
    Most work can be carried out depending on your tools and competency/ bravery, I beleive there is some major stuff to do with shims at a certain mileage that sounds daunting, but is possible.

    They are a piece of cake to service. The most complicated service thing is checking/adjusting the valve shimming. Checking is a piece of cake, adjusting the shims requires a bit more bravery, but even so it's not a really big deal.

    Will invest in a decent manual ....... I have a Haynes one however ???

    You know the phrase "do it once, do it right" - get the proper Triumph paper one, it is worlds better than a Haynes book of lies.
