Yesterday was Speedy's and my 1st anniversary! I bought my 2019 Speed Triple RS one year ago on November 23rd. So the two of us decided to hit the road and celebrate. :grinning: Here's Speedy in front of the Amy's Donut's mural, patiently awaiting his "cake". :yum I had to break it to him gently that motorcycles can't eat cake.

This is Speedy one year ago on the day I took him home to live with Mr. Sandi, me, his three moto siblings, and Annie the Boxer.

The first stop on our anniversary jaunt was at a terrific little local donut shop, Amy's Donuts. I opted for a delicious apple fritter and Speedy got a couple of gallons of gas after I finished my fritter and coffee. ;) Amy's has the best apple fritters in town. Although I might need to collect fritters and have a blind taste test just to make sure. ;)

Amy's Donuts is the coolest donut shop I've even been in. There are scores of goodies to choose from. Maybe hundreds! And all of them are amazingly healthy. Yeah.... :joy::joy::joy: Amy's even hosts school field trips. I never got to do a field trip like that growing up!

My trusty steed waiting patiently for me out in the parking lot while I enjoy my coffee and fritter. :kissing_heart:

Our next stop after filling up Speedy's belly with gas was our relationship began just over a year ago, my local Triumph dealership, Arizona Kawasaki--KTM--Triumph. Mr. Sandi and I fondly refer to it as "Triumph World". My original salesman took a few moments out of his day to snap this photo of Speedy and me.

Speedy and I are looking forward to the coming year happily zooming around southern Arizona together. For now, Happy Anniversary to us!

In looking back through my photos, I found these two photos that I took at Amy's Donuts during a previous visit. The pics give you a "flavor" of the fun and funny donuts available at Amy's.

You were seriously asking a bunch of mainly middle age men if they remember anniversaries o_O;):joy::joy::joy::joy::joy:!

Love the fact that you do remember, but you are a female of the opposite sex, these things come far more natural to you, enjoyed the pictures though Sandi, you really are so lucky being able to ride pretty much all year round :sun::cool::).

Congrats on the anniversary, +1 on the apple fritter which is a good choice. But when it comes to donuts i prefer just plain glazed ones

You're right, Billy! Mainly middle age men remembering anniversaries? Geez, what the heck was I thinking? I'll chalk it up to a momentary memory loss. :joy::joy::joy: Glad you enjoyed the photos. :)

Thanks, phred! Though apple fritters are my favorite, I enjoy plain glazed donuts, too. In fact, I don't think I've ever met a donut that I didn't like--and devour. ;) When it comes to plain glazed, I'm particularly fond of those at Krispey Kreme.

Thanks, Ducky! Glad you enjoyed the post. It was a fun afternoon. :) I'm not a pink fan either. But the deliciousness of the apple fritter made up for it. ;) Plus it explains my choice to sit in a spot where I could look out the window. :joy:

Crazy, but the boy inside me kept screaming out “nice fritters Sandy” with a Beavis/Butthead giggle/snigger. :imp:
Loved your celebration snaps and great the dealership was part of the birthday:p

Cast my vote, i have only celebrated one anniversary that i can remember, the 50th year of riding and i thought hell yes i deserve a awesome NEW bike when i seen the 19 street triple RS on the showroom floor. Before i bought used scratch & minor dent bikes. To tell you the truth after seeing it, i checked out a new MT-09 Yamaha that was 5k cheaper but was infinitely fugly, couldn't have paid me enough to own that bike.

Good choice on the RS, phred. That was (an additional) 5K well spent. ;)

Happy anniversary. Great shots and love story. I love doughnuts as well. So we have something in common again.
    Regards & Ride Safe.

    Just wondering, Sandi T,
How do you keep that slim figure with all those donuts?

Well, Kenbro, let's just say I don't partake of donuts on a daily basis....like @dilligaf and his JD. ;) I've also been active my whole life (runner, cyclist). But mostly I have my dear ol' dad's genes to thank. He was a slim, strong, fit farmer until pretty much the day he died.
