I once had a BMW R100RS. Not a lot of people know that - fortunately.
But it was a long time ago m'lud, and I was still quite young. Not enough ground clearance on it though. Regularly scraped the paint off the main stand (on the left) and the right cylinder head through 'enthusiastic' cornering.

Here’s mine, a proper BMW - most of the new ones look as if they’ve been in a crash.

It’s a 1978 R100/7. The previous owner had it for 37 years. Rides like a dumper truck compared with my T595 but I love it anyway! I have removed the RS fairing since the picture was taken and I prefer it that way.

I put a Throttle Tamer on my Monster and it did improve engine response around town.

Just turned and bought a ‘19 reg R9T Pure.
The cost steered me away from Speed Twin, but now wondering now (300miles later) if I did the right thing!

PS. You’ve heard of Dad Dancing, well, I do Granddad riding, far worst than my dancing!

Short ass here, but reach the floor with any bike....when I fall over!
And that’s been known to happen.
