Howdo all, just to introduce myself. Bob from North Wales, near Wrexham. Passed DAS late last year and been riding a Street Triple R for a while and loving it.
Welcome Bob , I'm originally from Wrexham , although I was only 8 when I was taken away & dragged over to Lincolnshire lol
Oh Crispey, Crispey!! I suppose someone has to be 'smartarse of the day', so I feel duty bound to point out that back in the good old days, a 'bob' or a shilling was in fact 5p - 20 to the £, don'tcha know! If we put that mistake down to your age, then I think you'll get away with it. It's what I always do!!! Works a treat!
don't worry Crispey, it's a tuppence hapenny crown anyway lol , or is it just half a crown anyway , that's another thread taken over with random stuff lol
you do realise I could delete my post and save my embarrassment and make you all look fools but I guess it would be pointless, Its me age, booze, lack of sleep and medication!
I remember the weekend of decimilisation (sort of). My first experience of mind altering substances (and I don't mean barley wine)
And what is wrong with barley wine? Huh? Huh? Can you still get it these days? 'Twas one of me mum's Christmas favourites!!
Barley wine was invented by someone who hated drinkers and thought "I'll create a drink so disgusting but so strong that folks will still drink it, more fool them" (no disrespect to your Mum Steve)
Strange that m8, I had family living in Leeds many years ago Jack and Rose Woolley they were killed in a car crash. They had a son Philip and maybe a daughter, I've been trying to trace them on and off for years.
Christopher Woolley is my father in law. George Denham Woolley was his father. Holbeck in Leeds was where they lived. My wife doesn't recognise the names you mentioned.
Is this going to be a ' my sisters my mum and my brothers Is this going to be a ' my sisters my mum and my brothers my auntie' kind of thing! Well it is Yorkshire! I'll get my banjo " diddlying ding ding-ding, ding-ding ding"
