I'm a brand new Speed Twin owner and I see there's a lot of material covered here; I've got a lot of questions I just got back into riding last November when I bought an Indian Springfield. I love the beast but also wanted a much smaller, more nimble bike to run around town on. I tried the Z900RS, XSR900, T120, Triumph Scrambler, Indian FTR, BMW R Nine T, and the Speed Twin was it, hands down, for me. So I just bought it in black 3 days ago, and can't get off it; any excuse to ride it; I'm starting fights with my wife just so I can storm off and be by myself (on the ST) (just kidding; my wife's actually pretty understanding of my new gf). Before I bought this bike I searched this forum for answers to my many questions, and this forum has been a huge help. So I have more questions, but I also hope to contribute to it for others interested in the bike. I know everyone knows exactly what a 2019 black Speed Twin looks like, but it's like being compelled to share pics of the kids.
Ftel. Welcome to the asylum. You know you will fit right in here with the inmates. Nursey also says thanks for sharing those pictures made her job a lot easier this morning as she dished out our meds. Great steed by the way and fantastic pictures. I see you got that great grin that says this is me my bike now here I come. Pictures here are good and the inmates love to ogle. You got Sandi T over there she is famous here in the asylum for her stories and write up's and for doing everything we want to. By the way if that grin starts to hurt after a while contact nursey. She and Triumph are working on it. Ride Safe & Enjoy Joe
Thanks Player, I like the black a lot too but I'm thinking of some color changes/enhancements to be better seen on the road. My Indian is metallic emerald with tons of chrome & you can see it a mile away. The black with aluminum sort of blends in here in TX so I'm thinking of keeping the gloss black with wheel, fork, and exhaust highlights of bronze/gold. If I do it, I'll post pics; but for a while I'm just loving this bike.
Man, thank you all for the really warm welcome! Looking forward to a long venture with this group....
Hi Ftel and welcome to the forum cracking ride especially in black Sounds good, I chose bronze/gold highlights to compliment my pinstripe. Have you thought of LED night strips or Daylights?
