Did the clamp thing for at least 24 hours minimum as stated but 24 hours after that the backing strips failed. Scrupulously cleaned too.

Inferior sticky strips? Maybe they've been sitting in a warehouse for donkeys years?

Not sure. Power bronze stuff is normally made to order if coming direct. I was a little dissapointed in the gap I had to close up too when I fitted the mounts. At least 10mm between old and new that I had to squeeze up. Definitely didn't help the the tape. Oh well done now hopefully.

hi all, been a while since I've posted.

managed to make my own and for £17 and 2 hours work I don't think its that bad!

Robin, you could use 3m dual lock, this stuff is what I used, amazingly strong and you can take the screen off easily.

I've been at over 100mph with this on and didn't move, directs the wind off my chest so much more bearable on long distances.

Brybrem, thanks for the offer will have to give it a miss as I want to see how this one does!

    tell me what you think

Looks good mate. Presumably heat malleable stuff.
You could go into small production!!!

Went out tonight and yes it's much better with the screen. Good for comfy consistent riding over 125 so ideal for normal 70 stuff.

Yep, just Perspex from the Amazon!

It's weird how such a small piece makes massive difference.

dammit...glue came undone too!!! and its not the cheap stuff. going to have to modify the screen with some heat to get the fit better and use some ct1. shouldn't have to do this with an £80 piece of plastic!

Thanks chaps will try that. Think it's the same stuff as on the GoPro mounts and that is sticky!

    thanks for the reply.

In the end I've just been using the one I made, went to Brands, 60 miles on mostly motorways and its perfect, takes the wind off my chest, not quite over my head though but cruising at motorway speeds are now bearable.

Robin, how did the 3m work?

Found a couple of spare GoPro 3M sticky pads and so far so good. Done loads of miles and a track day.

Hi Moe, I presume that is perspex, what thickness did you get, I would be interested in making my own too.
Is it just cut to shape/size then curled over and stuck to the inside of the instrument shield?

    Hi red thunder,

Got 3mm smoke black perspex from amazon for £6 and 3m dual lock 1mtr for £11 again from amazon.

Yep just cut and put the top curve in while its flat, make sure you make the perspex at least 4cm wider than the sheild to compensate for curve it. I used aa paint stripper heat gun and gloves. The first one I did I curved over a metal bowl so it was all curved and put a little lip on it.
The second one I just did 2 bends and either end about 2cm in, but didn't compensate for losing overall width so was too short.

I'll try get some good pics up to help you.
2mm I think would be easier to work with.
