Hello all again, Is there anyone not to far away with a SE I can come and sit on for size.???? I have found one for sale but many miles from me, but really want to know if it will be ok for me as I believe they are smaller the the T100s. I am a bit desperate . Thank You mallywoods
Malcolm Woods. Welcome to he family. Have you told your wife she's shopping for bikes yet. And again it is something you have to see and test yourself. You will know when the right steed rears its head for you. But do keep us all in the know. Regards Joe.
Privateer That's a nice bike low miles bright colour which I love. Now Malcolm Woods there is your bike book the test ride take along the credit card and start talking winter discounts. Has always worked for me. Regards Joe.
trouble is its to away from me, Im thinking of, having seen the pictures and talking to the owner, just getting a courier to pick her up and bring her back to me. Its very risky, however I've heard of people doing this, but it worries me.
Hi Malcolm and welcome to the forum best you visit the love of your life, rather than hope she’s right for you
Sorry mate, but I think you need to get off your arse and go visit one. If it isn't for you it's a one off small cost to find out. Clay Cross isn't that far from Norfolk whether you take the train or hire a very small car for the day, but sitting back and waiting for one to land on your doorstep is probably not going to work I don't want to come over as harsh but sometimes you just need to take action to achieve your goals
The advertised bike is in Clay Cross......a mere 125 miles from you......but I digress. The key thing is ‘fit’ and the SE, cosmetics aside, is 17” cast wheels v the T100 19”. The net result is slightly quicker steering, tubeless tyres (if that is an issue) and a lower seat/ride height which really only comes into play when stationary. The seat, handlebar, foot peg relationship is pretty much identical across the range. Frankly you need to have a mooch round local dealers and just sit on any Bonnie. What you have not done is indicate why you have plumped for the SE. Knowing your priorities would help us advise. Don’t get tetchy with Helmut - in his own sweet way he’s just spurring you to be decisive.
No dealer in Norfolk has a SE therefore cannot try one, I ask again where is this place called Clay Cross, I picked the SE because I liked the look of it in the photos, that's before I realised it was smaller than a T100, I have now given up on the SE because I cannot even find one to sit on. Thank you. the bike I was looking at is in Eastbourne . The time has come to end this thread, Massive thanks to all replies, This is a good forum with very helpful comments. Thanks again.
If you click on the link provided by Privateer you will see an SE advertised in Clay Cross, Derbyshire.....worth a look
