Tonight a friend of mine and I met up at a local place called ZinBurger to celebrate "National Cheeseburger Day". Well, actually, we met up to see one another and catch up on each other's lives. My celebratory cheeseburger and truffle fries were delicious, as was this Hendrick's martini. The clever note pad next to the martini glass was a little gift from my friend--she knows me well. :joy::joy:

After a long old couple of weeks at the healthcare coalface, I have a chance for a couple of drinks tonight (only a couple as I’m back to work tomorrow) so a nice red wine tonight! La Vieille Ferme provide this delicious beverage!

I love a wheat beer, I had some really nice ones in Germany but oddly enough I can’t remember their names... or even how I got back to the hotel... o_O

Looked back a month or two to jog my memory regarding posts about Green Spot Irish Whiskey and to add to commentary and info from @Dozers Dad and @Glyn Philips. The Green Spot is delicious and very smooth and silky. Much as I like it, I prefer Redbreast to Green Spot. Both are expensive so if I"m gonna splurge it'll be on the Red Breast. And, yes, they are both definitely splurges. Time to try DD's Bushmill's white label. I'm thinking it's time for a blind taste test. ;)

That all said, THIS is what I'm drinking tonight! :yum

You certainly have a point about the price being right on the Bushmill's, Jez. But I certainly do not need to start drinking 3 times as much! :p I could always invite two neighbors to join us. Mr. Sandi is not a whiskey aficionado--one of his few quirks. ;)

Seeing as I have a bit of Redbreast left and half a bottle or so of the Green Spot, I'll get a bottle of the Bushmill's Original and do a proper blind taste test to do some objective research. Stay tuned. ;)

20190921_162556.jpg Another local beer - label is a bit ominous though! Very tasty, I can tell you that!
